Chuck Briseno is an independent country and Americana artist born and raised in George West, Texas, whose sound was shaped just as much by the red dirt of Oklahoma as the brush country of South Texas.

Growing up, summers spent with his mom in Cushing and Drumright, Oklahoma helped forge a lifelong connection to Red Dirt music. Back home in South Texas, Tejano and traditional country were part of the landscape. Whether riding backroads with The Great Divide cranked up, hunting crawdads and sneaking into buffalo pastures in Oklahoma, or hearing Pat Green over the speakers during baseball practice, music was never just a soundtrack — it was part of the way he grew up.

A U.S. Army veteran who served in Afghanistan with the 173rd Airborne, Chuck’s road from soldier to songwriter is rooted in grit, heart, and a strong sense of home. Since 2019, he has built his career independently, touring extensively with his band from coast to coast and border to border and earning a loyal following one show at a time. Songs like “Folded Flag” and “She’s My Home” reflect the people, places, sacrifice, and experiences that continue to shape his music.

Chuck is currently recording new music in Nashville, Tennessee, with acclaimed producer Kent Wells, known for his longtime work with country music icon Dolly Parton. The new recordings bring together Chuck’s South Texas roots, Oklahoma Red Dirt influences, military experience, and years spent on the road, while staying grounded in honest songwriting and the traditional country foundation that has defined his music from the beginning.

With new music on the way and a relentless touring schedule, Chuck Briseno continues building his career independently — taking the lessons of the road with him while once again calling George West, Texas, home.
